OUR STORY

Our experienced team has created the best sock in the world for symptoms of diabetes and general foot issues with proprietary yarn technology.

We know that currently, over 30 million Americans have Diabetes and over 84 million Americans have PRE-Diabetes.

We are the men and women that invented the diabetic sock category 20 years ago.

We are going to help people with foot and leg problems. We consider that “Doing Well by Doing Good”.

We want to keep our socks as affordable for you as we can, so we have decided to only offer our socks via e-commerce.

Back in the day, we sold millions of pairs of socks via thousands of brick and mortar stores across the country, but that adds about 45% to the retail price you would have to pay.

MEET THE
PROVEN TEAM

Bob Froeber (Co-Founder + Chairman/Chief Customer Officer)

Bob helped build the Peds sock business from a $5 million “footie” business to a $35 million sock business before selling the brand for tens of millions of dollars in 2004. Bob and his team invented the low cut sock category that exploded in the 90’s.

Bob owned and ran a family-owned hosiery business. He began as a salesman in the New England territory where he eventually sold every major retailer, including CVS, Bradlees, Stop and Shop, and Zayre.

He then ran the sales department for eight years, until 1989, when he was promoted to CEO and President at the age of 38. During his 23 years tenure as CEO, the company evolved from a sheer hosiery manufacturing company to a sock manufacturing company (as the pantyhose business was a victim of the casual lifestyle of the 90’s and beyond) to a sock marketing and sourcing company as Asian imports hurt the domestic producers.

Bob and his team also “invented” the diabetic sock category with the MediPeds® brand. MediPeds® tested at Walmart in 2003, grew to tens of millions of dollars at retail in 3 years.

Bob has been consulting since 2011. Bob has been an avid golfer for decades as well as very active in his church and several charitable organizations.

MediPeds® Diabetic Socks

Bob Froeber’s previously owned company, Americal Corporation, manufactured, marketed, and sold socks… Millions of pairs of them.

Bob and his team took the $5,000,000 Peds® “footie “ business to the $33,000,000 annual revenue level in only 4 years and sold the Peds® brand in 2004 for over $30,000,000.

In 2001, the team saw the promise and profitability in Diabetic socks; so we began R+D of MediPeds® socks for symptoms of diabetes. The sock development took nearly 18 months.

When the team introduced the MediPeds® brand of socks; we absolutely, positively offered the customer the best Diabetic sock in the world. It didn’t take long for the hundreds of thousands of customers to embrace it.

We grew the brand to $10,000,000 in annual revenues in just 2 years and became the #1 Diabetic Sock in the country.

In 2015 the mega-brand Peds®/MediPeds® was sold for $55m.
